Lately my Saturdays have looked exactly like the rest of the week. And I like to get out of the house as much as the next person, but the running around is crazy-making. So to have a day where I could just sit and watch a movie, crochet, and do hair is a good day.

And there was that one little trip to Michael’s. Because Yanni’s catering gig is coming up and she needed to pick up some cake boxes. Btw, I never want to go to Michael’s again. It was such a dump. The children crashed through there like bulls in a china shop, and the Halloween stuff was omnipresent, the store tiny, crowded and grubby. Hobby Lobby is such a nicer experience, even wading through that huge glass display in the middle. It’s cleaner, bigger, and closer.

Anyhoo, we also had time for a piano recital. It’s been almost three months since our last recital, so Imani, Joy, and Esteban had something to play. Our next recital should feature the bigger kids, and probably Imani again. She is on a roll. Film will be forthcoming.

Now I have enough energy to run to Walmart and return Imani’s new dress and probably pick up some balmex and maybe some capris for Yanni.

I’m used to the crazy.
