I wanted to show you the third part of the cooking series today. The part where my daughter turns three carmels and a bunch of apples into pie filling.

I notice that she didn’t tape herself make the pie crust, which she always makes from scratch. Guess she was too busy cooking, hmmm?

Today we shared Thanksgiving with friends. It was a lot of fun cooking and hanging out together. My friend teased that I could be part of that Pioneer house show on PBS, because I make everything from scratch. I thought that was ghetto, but she said it was more pioneer survivor. That was what my mother had been preparing for all my life. The day when modern conveniences stopped and we had to spin our own yarn and eat all our canned goods.

So, Thanksgiving was fun. We made way too much food, had way too much clean up afterwards, and I can barely keep my eyes open right now. I hope you all are having the best Thanksgiving ever. What are you buying on Black Friday?
